From Unix to Linux with Adabas/Natural

The Unix derivates from HP, IBM and SUN are dead. Adabas/Natural applications live on!

Adabas/Natural applications are the bedrock of business success in many companies and organizations. They have been running stably and performing well for decades on the mainframe on both Linux and Unix.

The dwindling relevance of the Unix platforms (< 3% according to a Gartner study) has prompted Software AG to announce that they are ending support for Adabas/Natural on HP-UX, AIX and Solaris on 31 December 2024.

Unix users now face great risks. They must move their productive systems so that business-critical applications can continue to run securely.

Doing nothing is not an option.

The situation is critical:

Support for Adabas/Natural on Unix will end on 31 December 2024.

After that, it will not be possible to operate business-critical applications securely on Unix.

Replacing Adabas/Natural applications completely would result in high costs and immense risks.
