Software implementation: traditional or agile?
You decide how we implement target software at your company: Do you prefer the traditional approach with requirement specifications? Or would you prefer an agile process? Both approaches have their advantages.
Over the years we have gained a vast amount of experience with a wide variety of process models. We set up the project - according to your wishes and within the scope of your company specifications - in such a way that it is guaranteed to be a success.
Traditional requirement specifications
The traditional process with requirement specifications is the best option if you know exactly how your innovation management process has to be mapped. You draw up the specification sheet - we can help you with that if required. We then use that to formulate the requirement specifications, which we then fine-tune with you. We then configure the software in accordance with these specifications and hand it over to you ready to use.
What to consider
Subsequent changes or additions are difficult to integrate using this approach and may delay the project. If you choose to go down this route, you will need to be able to imagine what the software will look like at the end; basic knowledge of target’s software solutions is therefore an advantage.
Agile approach
With the agile approach, you describe your idea management process in lots of small function blocks. We’d be happy to help you do that. Each of these blocks can be developed and tested independently of the others. This gives you a good idea early on in the processes of what the solution will look like in the end. The pros: Describing the function blocks gets easier and easier as you go along. You can identify the need for modifications at an early stage and pass that information on to us.
What to consider
Never lose sight of the big picture when using the agile approach. Start by designing the primary process and only then consider the exceptional cases. This way, you can be sure that the individual function blocks are actually integrated and not loosely next to each other.
We support you through the software implementation process - either by taking the lead or as a coach
We value transparency and like to share our knowledge with our customers. When implementing target software at your company, we support you either as a coach or by taking care of the entire implementation of your idea management process for you.
You decide which way is best for your company. A combination of both approaches is of course also possible.
Responsible implementation
Is your IT department already working at full capacity? To ensure that your idea management project doesn’t fall by the wayside, we can implement the target software for you - either completely or in parts.
Upon request, we can support you right from the start; we can help you draw up the specifications and define the process so that they are tailored to our software.
We implement the desired, customized solution with you, even when things gets trickier. Our implementation consultants know our software through and through and achieve their goals quickly. This way, you can keep your costs to a minimum and quickly benefit from the “ready-to-use" application.
Even after implementation, our consultant remains your first point of contact and supports you in all questions concerning your idea and innovation management and the operation of the software.
Implementation coaching
When you purchase our software, you’re not getting a ‘black box’: We attach great importance to sharing the knowledge required to use our applications. As such, it’s a good idea for your IT department to take on at least some of the implementation tasks. As a coach, we support your employees with those tasks and show them how to configure the target software and how to develop it for smooth deployment. We teach you about all the features of the software so that you have the necessary expertise in-house. Of course, we can also take care of quality assurance.
Share ideas and individual workshops
On our open training courses you can exchange ideas with other customers. We are also happy to design an individual workshop to tackle your particular problem. We provide support at an early stage when designing new process steps. This way, you can be sure that the additions are compatible with our software and can be easily implemented at your company.
